199,000 CranesThe Peace Committee has reached its goal of gathering a “flock” of 199,000 origami cranes, one representing each victim of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They are now working on a unique three-dimensional interactive exhibition of the cranes, to share with the public as part of the Peace Day events. Still in the planning stages with a community of artists and creatives, the ultimate goal is to take the exhibit to Hiroshima as a gift. |
The Katsu Goto Film The Peace Committee supports the work of author/filmmaker Patsy Iwasaki, to share the story of plantation worker and labor leader Katsu Goto who was lynched in Honoka‘a, Hawai‘i in 1889.
